men
So the other day at work the sweetest yet worst thing happened to me! here is the story
So, i am behind the till, I have just served this lovely old lady and am signing onto the computer to help the next customer. I look up and think to myself " wow, this customer is really good looking. don't be lame, don't be lame! " Hi there, did you find everything okay?" , i ask. "yes, fine thank you" the nice looking man replies.I ring all his stuff through the till and as i am saying have a nice day he says "could i take you out sometime?"
What do you do in such a situation? Say yes, because he looks nice and was friendly and chat for a little while whilst holding up the line-up or do you say no because you are not used to the boldness of men from other countries...
Want to know what i did? " oh, wow. ummm. yeah.... that's really nice... but ummm.... no....sorry.... ummm.... there is a really big line up behind you.... gotta get back to work. hhhahah... (awkward smile)...sorry. thanks... umm... bye!"
I will probs never see him again. oh well. damn Christmas shopping business!!

W.A #2
June, my darling friend, i too should be in that! together we can confess our work aholic ways and support eachother through our need to travel and do exciting things!
I have been working so much! minus my 5 days in paris i have been working everyday of the week almost. The only reason that i agree to such ridiculousness is because i want to go everywhere.see everything. and i just cant say no!
I too, need to get my priorities in check!

paris?!?!?!?
Now, if i were to talked about every single joy that I experienced while I was in Paris you would be sat at your computer for hours, no, probably days. So, my plan is to divide it into points to make it a bit more easy for you to read and to help prevent me from rambling.
1. FOOD: There was practically a cafe, bakery, cheese shop, bistro, crepe stand, chocolate shop, winery, and fruit/veg stand on every street. It was overwhelming really. The place where we were staying was right above a bakery so we had pastries for breakfast um, every morning - FAB! Pretty much, the food was tasty, well presented and priced for the queen.
2. BUILDINGS/MONUMENTS: As our little gang strolled through the city it seemed as if there was some extravagant building, statue or garden on every street. They were all individually appealing and crafted with such detail and beauty. It is quite phenomenal to think that hundreds of years ago these building were designed on paper, without the help of computers and then built by pure human strength- they didn't have CAT tractors and huge, powerful machinery to help them out back in the day. Here is a list of where we went, from amazing to a little less amazing:
Le Sacre Couer - most beautiful building i have ever seen, it is truly breathtaking
Musee Du Louvre - the art;beautiful, the ceilings;magnificent
La Cathedrale Notre-Dame - stunning and spooky at the same time
Tour Eiffel - we went on our last evening and i have never seen so many lights, you could see all of Paris - amazing
Arc De Triumph
Museum D'histoire Naturelle
3:FASHION: There are no trashy people in Paris, I will tell you that right now. Everyone has some sense of style but mostly, everyone just knows how to dress themselves... I didn't see one muffin top! ( that is really exciting to me because i cant stand when people wear pants that are too low and too tight, so , hurrah!) On Saturday night I went out with my dear friend Emilie Lacroix and we went to this club...everyone= fashionable and beautiful! it was great!
4: MEN: As in most cities there were slimy, gross men but to balance it out there were some beautiful, nice, french speaking ones as well! HURRAH! I don't speak french let alone understand it, but i felt shy or flattered each time a stunning young man would talk to me, even if he was the waiter just asking what i wanted to eat.5: POO: There is a lot of dog poo in Paris, no joke. It is just on every tree, lamp post and garbage bin. This was the only sadness of my whole trip. but really, so gross!
